Making changes to your plan templates is common and supported within the Petly Plans software. There are a few details you should be aware of as you consider changing your current plan templates:
1. Changing the price of a plan, but not changing any content within the plan
- You may choose whether or not to apply a price change to renewals that are already configured. We encourage you to review your configured renewal plans before making the price change to see which configured renewal plans would be affected. To do this, generate the list of configured renewals for your practice:
- Go to Reports > Wellness Plans, and select Build Custom Report
- In the Wellness Plan Status section in the upper left, under the Inactive column, check the Renewal box, which will automatically check the Automatic Renewal and Manual Renewal boxes
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Generate Report
- Review the list to decide if you want to apply the price change to these plans.
- Once you’ve decided whether to apply the price change to configured renewals, edit your plan template, update the Base Monthly Fee, and check the Update Renewal Pricing box if you want the configured renewal plans to renew with the updated plan price.
- If you do not check the box, this group of clients will not receive the price change on their plan until the following renewal year.
- We recommend informing your configured renewal clients of the price change prior to their renewal date.
2. Changing the price of a plan and the content within the plan
- We highly recommend creating a new plan template if you’re making changes to the content within your plan so all new plans and renewals include all the items in the plan.
- Manually set your configured renewals to renew into the new template you’ve created to ensure all plans include the products and services you intend.
- Note: Petly Plans customer support can assist with this process as needed
- We recommend informing your configured renewal clients of any changes to the content or price of their plan prior to their renewal date
