How to create a custom message on a Cornerstone invoice

Use this guide to add a custom closing message to every pet owner invoice in Cornerstone. Use this to promote your wellness plans at the point of billing — the message appears automatically at the bottom of every new invoice created going forward.

Cornerstone Administrator access required

Create the billing message
Set up the custom message content in Cornerstone
Navigate to Billing Messages

Open Billing Messages

Navigate to:

Enter message details

Enter a description name

In the Billing Message Setup screen, type a name in the Description field to identify this message.

Enter the custom message

Type your custom message in the Message Contents field, then click OK to save.

Example message

"Did your pet receive some services today that could have been covered with our Wellness Care plan? Ask us about what plan is right for your furry family member!"

Set the message as the default invoice message
Assign the message so it appears on every new invoice

Open Practice and Workstation Messages

Navigate to:

Select the invoice message

Under Invoice, select the name of the custom billing message you created in Section A.

Click OK to save

Click OK to apply the default message setting.

What happens next

Every new invoice created in Cornerstone will automatically display your custom message at the bottom. Existing invoices are not affected.
