Plan items are imported from your practice management software (PiMS) during synchronization. Use this guide to edit the settings for any synced plan item in Petly Plans.

Steps to edit a plan item

Open the item to edit

Navigate to Wellness Plan Items and select an item

Navigate to Wellness Plan Items

Place the mouse pointer over the Menu and navigate to:

Admin›Wellness Plan Items

Click Edit for the item to modify

Click the Edit link to the right of the item you want to update. The Edit Wellness Plan Item dialog box appears.

Configure each field as needed for this item

Update the item fields

Review and update each of the following fields as needed:

Field	Options & guidance
Unlimited Usage	Select `No` if a specific quantity of the item is offered with plans. Select `Yes` if there is no limit to the number of this item offered.
Sex	Select `Male` if this item only applies to males, `Female` if it only applies to females, or `Any` if any pet can use this item.
True Value	Type the price to charge for one unit of the item when cancelling a plan, if different from the dollar amount imported from the PiMS. To use the PiMS price, type `same` or leave this field blank. If `0` is entered, the system assumes the true value is $0.00.
Sync Usage	Select `Yes` if item usage will be updated during synchronization, or `No` if it will not.
Include on Renewal Plans	Select `Yes` if the item will be added to renewal plans, or `No` if it should not be included on renewals.
Usage Group	Select the category to which this item should be associated. When one item in a group is used, all other items in that group are automatically marked as used.
Instructions	Type any usage guidelines that should alert staff when this item is selected. For example: "Pet must be less than seven months of age to use this service."

Note:Changes made here apply to the item globally — all templates and plans that include this item will reflect the updated settings.

Click Confirm to save

Click Confirm to save your changes and exit the dialog box.
